What differences are there between UBITracer ZT-28E and other location tracking devices on the market?

In addition to tracking location, UBITracerZT-28E also monitors temperature. 

Another unique advantage of UBITracer ZT-28E is its extraordinarily long operational time between battery charges.

How does UBITracer ZT-28E locate? What about its accuracy?

UBITracer ZT-28E leverages enhanced positioning (Wi-Fi) and cellular triangulation to determine location. It can pinpoint locations within 10-20 meters or 30-60 feet.

What is the estimated battery life of UBITracer ZT-28E?

Average running time when reporting twice a day: 3 -about 4 years; reporting every 4 hours: 1.5 years; reporting each hour: 4 months; reporting every 10 minutes - 4 weeks. Ultra-long running time minimizes downtime and saves hassles of recharges.

How do I renew the service plan?

In the UBITracer mobile app, your subscription will be automatically renewed.

How do I change (upgrade or downgrade) the service plan?

You can cancel your service under the configuration tab. When your current plan expires, renew your chosen subscription as usual. If you need an immediate upgrade from a long-term subscription, please contact support@ubitracer.com.

What are some of the assets that can be tracked by UBITracer ZT-28E?

Some sample assets are trailers, cars, trucks, containers, pallets, toolboxes, coolers, equipment, instruments, valuables, backpacks, and luggage.

What are some of the use cases of UBITracer ZT-28E?

Sample use cases include tracking for contractors (toolbox, truck), enterprises (equipment, trailer, container, reefer), cold chain and temperature control (cooler box, medical samples, vaccines, perishable foods, car), and individuals (car, luggage, backpack, storage box, valuables).

How to check if a device is activated or not?

Check if the orange tag on the back side of the device is pulled out or not, if yes, sign in UBITracer mobile app to check the device status.

How to set the device reporting frequency?

Answer: device reporting frequency can be self-defined according to different scenarios in the UBITracer mobile app. You can also send email to support@ubitracer.com for support.

Why does the device not report after activation?

The signal might be too weak in the place of device activation. Please try to put the device in a place where good cell signal is available, or let it travel with your car so it can be exposed to additional cellular towers.

Why does the device stop reporting?

The signal might be too weak in the place of device activation. Please try to put the device in a place where good cell signal is available, or let it travel with your car so it can be exposed to additional cellular towers.

Why does the power exhaust so fast?

If the cellular signal is extremely weak or totally absent, the device will make extra effort to communicate, which may cause quicker battery drain.

Why does the position deviate?

The location variation is larger when the device is in areas without any Wi-Fi signals.

How to dispose a device when its life cycle ends?

The device contains a Lithium battery so please dispose the device according to your local regulation.

How to receive warranty service?

Please email Support (support@ubitracer.com) with product photo, detailed information on malfunction, and device serial number. We will determine if it is a defective product or due to misuse, and may replace defective product, provide refund, or detect misuse and reject warranty service.

How to upgrade my subscription plan?

UBITracer keeps its subscription lower than the market norm while offering substantial savings for longer renewal intervals. To switch to a new plan, just cancel the current plan before the renewal date and pick the new plan you desire

 Which carrier networks do UBITracer devices have access to in the US?

Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, T-Mobile, Tampnet, Viaero, Cincinnati Bell, Limitless, Indigo Wireless, Union Telecom, Alaska Wireless, Sprint.

Why does my app shut down when I try to add my device?

Please grant the application access to your camera before attempting to add a device on the older version of IOS devices.
